Princess Private Equity joins LPEQ

Princess Private Equity Holding, a London-listed private equity company, today joins LPEQ, the association of listed private equity companies.

Princess was founded in 1999 and the company’s shares have traded on the London Stock Exchange since 1st November 2007 under the ticker ‘PEY’. Princess’s investment manager is Guernsey-based Princess Management Limited and its investment advisor is global private markets investment manager Partners Group. Its aim is to provide shareholders with long-term capital growth and an attractive dividend yield.

The company’s investment strategy has been refocused toward a global portfolio of direct investments in private equity and private debt, which now represent over half of the portfolio. Princess also holds a mature legacy portfolio of primary and secondary investments in third-party managed private equity funds but will make no further commitments to third-party funds under its new strategy. Andrea Lowe, chief executive of LPEQ, said: “We are delighted to welcome Princess into LPEQ’s international membership base. The listed private equity asset class offers exposure to some of the most promising private companies across the world and Princess’s private market investment track record makes it a natural champion of the sector.”

Urs Wietlisbach Co-Founder and Member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Markets Committee of Partners Group, said: “Princess provides stock market investors with a globally diversified exposure to private equity investments in leading, international mid-market companies. We believe LPEQ plays an important role in raising awareness of listed private equity. We look forward to working alongside LPEQ and its members to enhance the exposure and transparency of the asset class and to help bring private markets into the mainstream of public market investment.”
