Mark Florman, Chairman
Mark is the Chairman and CEO of Time Partners, a merchant bank in London which advises private equity firms and investors in private equity. Mark was also the co-founder of the merchant banking group Maizels Westerberg, founder of 8 Miles and was a partner at Doughty Hanson for many years. Mark is on the board of a number of businesses and sits on a number of investment committees as an Independent Member.
Richard is Chairman of CVC Credit Partners European Opportunities. He is a non-executive director of a number of substantial collective investment and investment management entities and is active in a number of asset classes including global macro, leveraged corporate credit, long/short equity, fund of funds and EM real estate.
Deborah Botwood Smith, Chief Executive
Before joining LPeC in February 2020, Deborah was Director of External Relations and Director of Marketing at the Association for Financial Markets in Europe (AFME), the association for global and European banks operating in Europe’s wholesale financial markets. Before that she was a Managing Director at alternative investment firm Investcorp, where she had global responsibility for corporate communications and stakeholder engagement for the firm’s private equity, hedge funds and real estate investment. Previously, Deborah was Director of Group Corporate Communications at Coutts NatWest Group and Head of Corporate Relations, Europe, Middle East, Africa at Visa International.
Stuart is a senior member of and Director in the Private Equity team at BMO Global Management (EMEA), formerly known as F&C Investments. He has a several decades of investment/lending experience and he has focused entirely on private equity since 2007. In his current role, Stuart has primary responsibility for investor relations and business development for BMO Global Management (EMEA) Private Equity. He previously held relationship manager roles with LBG, ING and RBS in New York, Edinburgh and London (1995 – 2011).
Andrew is a senior member of Pantheon’s investment team. He is responsible for co-ordinating the activities of Pantheon International Participations PLC and is a member of the Asia Regional Investment Committee. Andrew, who spent eight years in Pantheon’s Hong Kong office, also participates in Asian investment, including determining investment strategy and overseeing the selection and monitoring of investments. Prior to joining Pantheon, Andrew worked for a number of years in corporate finance with special emphasis on the private equity market, latterly at Credit Lyonnais Securities, and prior to that at its affiliate, Castleforth.
Olivier has been Chairman of the Eurazeo PME Executive Board since 2005 and a member of the Executive Board of Eurazeo since March 2018. He began his career as an entrepreneur in 1986 by creating Capital Finance. He then joined 3i from 1990 to 1994, before moving to Barclays Private Equity France, where he contributed to the development and success of this pan- European fund for 11 years. From 2016 to 2018, Olivier was Chairman of France Invest (formerly the AFIC – the French Private Equity Association). In September 2018 he joined the Executive Board of MEDEF, the leading network of entrepreneurs who promote entrepreneurship in France.
David co-founded the Oakley Capital Group in 2002 with Peter Dubens, and plays a key role within the business with overall responsibility for finance and operations. The Oakley Capital Group is a London-based asset management and financial advisory business, with over €1 billion of assets under management. David holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from Essex University and started his career in the British Army, later qualifing as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand in their London Financial Services industry group.
Kristof Vande Capelle
Kristof is Chief Financial Officer of Gimv. Prior to joining Gimv in September 2007, he worked at Mobistar as Director Strategic Planning and Investor Relations. Other professional experience includes being a Credit Analyst at KBC and Academic Assistant at the University of Leuven. He holds a Master in Applied Economics (major in Corporate Finance) and a Master of Arts in Economics, both from the University of Leuven.
Susanne joined Deutsche Beteiligungs AG in 2012 as Chief Financial Officer and is also a Member of the Board of Management. Previously, she was the director of a church-related international charitable organisation. She started her professional career as an auditor and has 23 years of experience in auditing and in corporate finance, 20 years with a leading international auditing firm. Susanne holds a Master in Business Economics from the University of Münster/Westfalia.
